Juno Beach
Juno Beach is the perfect seaside community, with good food, friendly people, and a number of fun things to do with the whole family. Biking is popular in Juno Beach, including designate bike trails, such as the ones surrounding Pelican Lake. Biking is also a popular form of transportation in town. Located on a barrier island, most of the homes in Juno Beach are within walking or biking distance of the ocean. Everything is so centralized, you will never need to stray far from home.
Juno Beach is also home to several outstanding restaurants. Unsurprisingly, seafood is especially popular in this coastal community. Two of the best known seafood restaurants are Ke’s Grill and Captain Charlie’s Reef Grill. If you are in the mood for some traditional American food, the Hurricane Cafe is hard to beat. Their specialty drinks and tasty food attract crowds of locals and visitors.
Living in Juno Beach
Juno Beach is filled with outdoor areas the whole family can enjoy. One of the most well known is Juno Beach Park. This park includes a designated swimming area, but it also includes other beach areas that are perfect for surfing or saltwater fishing. There is plenty of parking available for out of town guests, and there are several picnic shelters where you can escape the sun while you have a cold drink or a snack. The park also has public restrooms complete with outdoor showers. One of the main highlights of this park is Juno Beach Park Pier. This pier is managed by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and is filled with things to do, including a snack bar and a place to rent or buy fishing gear. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center includes several educational exhibits as well as a turtle hospital. During the summer, guided tours can take visitors around the sea turtle nesting grounds, giving tourists the opportunity to see the turtles up close and personal.
Another popular outdoor recreation area is the Juno Dunes Natural Area. This site includes two hiking trails, both of which loop around through the coastal forests. These trails include observation decks where you can enjoy the cool breeze and the sounds of crashing waves. While the trails are not completely paved, they offer a fairly easy hike that is appropriate even for the youngest kids.
